An e.p. Yes. Only 4 tracks. I had the chance to have Mark Powell, who'd worked at Fairport Convention,s WoodWorm Studios, produce for me. I quickly bundled up three songs (including "prisoner of War' - the first song I ever remember completing.) and added a classic Scots' Song which became the title track. Fair to say, I think, it's a bit odd. LOL! I'm kinda OK with it though and I love the tile track, which is now on my "HITS & PIECES" Triple Disk.

The download includes a PDF of the Cover and Insert.

THE BEST OF FRIENDS (Ian M. Bruce) I think on long lost life long friends, What they doin' now? I know if I met them tomorrow, Shyness won't allow me to ask, Or even talk to them, It's likely we'll both look away, That was the way between you and I When we met today. Nights on the town laughing and drinking, No talk of weather, Understanding that we were just good friends, Having good times together. Or were we the keepers of latent love, Happy to keep it that way? Till one careless kiss destroyed all this And left nothing to say. CHORUS We are just strangers one kiss discovered, Different books with similar covers, We were good friends that could never be lovers. The best of friends. When I needed help you were always around. It was you who kept my feet on the ground, So many times I reached for your hand, You listened, you'd understand. We were good friends that could never be lovers. Respect the reasons, Now that we both know where we stand, Let's heal the lesions, And promise you won't keep turning your head, From opposite sides of the room, Let it resume... Let's kill the strangers, one kiss discovered, Different books with similar covers, We were good friends that could never be lovers, The best of friends.

DOLLAR A DREAM (Ian M. Bruce) Daddy can't buy you a brand new car; Not with things the way they are, See this ticket in my hand, This is our ticket to the promised land. This is our ticket to the promised land. CHORUS One little dollar, that's all it cost, So if it don't win there's not much lost, If it don't bring peaches and cream, You can't grudge a dollar a dream. You can't grudge a dollar a dream. Daddy can't take you on a Concorde plane, But he'll take you to the seaside now and again, But if these winning numbers fall, I'll take you round the world till you've seen it all. I'll take you round the world till you've seen it all. CHORUS You can't buy love. We all know that, But that's one thing we've already got, What more could we want when we've got love? But Money! Money! Money! And lots and lots of!!!!!! CHORUS

PRISONER OF WAR (Ian M. Bruce) There's a dark island sitting on the horizon. It's high palm trees span the setting sun. The ripples are taking the fiery skies for a ride. But I'm cold inside. Colours of picture postcard paradise, But reality is freezing me like ice. I'm lying here face down in the grass And my outlook is grim. Freedoms chance is slim. I've got a gun in my hand. As I stare at blood red sand, And pray" God let this war end. My life's my friend". Let me see that old urban skyline, Where the smoggy hue mingles with the grime, In that old city scene where life seemed so mean, There's none to compare, Let me be there! Take this gun from my hand, Can't you understand when I pray, "Let this war end. My life's my friend".
