LONELY TIME (Take It Away) (Ian M. Bruce) I sent for a lonely time. It arrived yesterday. Received by return Express delivery. It's not the kinda thing you take on trial. You can't just send it back when it smears the smile. CHORUS I don't want this thing; I can't use it. I don't want this thing; I can't lose it I don't want this thing; I can't use it. Please take it away. Take it away. Take it away. Here's the heartache. I'm alone. It's the very first one I tried on. It seems to fit so well. Just like a glove. 'Xactly fills the space I kept my love. CHORUS MIDDLE Why did I ask for this? Why oh why? You must've come to close. Automatic goodbye!? Why did I ask for this? I sent for a lonely time. It arrived yesterday. Received by return Express delivery. It's not the kinda thing you take on trial. You can't just send it back when it smears the smile.

BROWN EYED BABY (Ian M. Bruce/Charlie Milne) Goodbye my baby, my first born baby. My brown eyed baby you will always be. Promise as you leave here.... You'll remember me. Demons danced so crazy in my mind. Comfort and joy, they seemed so hard to find. Then you were born; I saw your big brown eyes. No more demons. Just love and lullabies. Goodbye my baby, my first born baby. My brown eyed baby you will always be. Promise as you leave here.... You'll remember me. You came along when I was feeling small. I was walking the tightrope. I was trying not to fall. You came along when I was alone. My closest friend - the silent telephone. Goodbye my baby, my first born baby. My brown eyed baby you will always be. Promise as you leave here.... You'll remember me. I watched you grow as you looked to me. Our every move was shaping who you'd be. We shared pleasure, we shared pain. We'd lock horns every now and then. Goodbye my baby, my first born baby. My brown eyed baby you will always be. Promise as you leave here.... You'll remember....... Middle You have a love that's different from the plan. So, we have a son who loves another man. We wish you peace and comfort with your 'choice'. We just thank God, you finally found your voice. From our embrace we open up our arms, Unfold the fingers and feel the slipping palms. This gentle parting hurts more than tongues can tell. His arms await, I only hope he treats you well. And so your love is untraditional But a mother's love is unconditional. And so it's time my son for you to go your way. The rest of your life, don't you know, begins today. Goodbye my baby, my first born baby. My brown eyed baby you will always be. Promise as you leave here.... You'll remember....... You will please remember me!!!

ONE FLOWER DOWN (Ian M. Bruce/Charlie Milne) Up in the sky, is that where you are? Soakin in sunshine, swingin on stars? Mmmm! Is that where you are? If that's where you are, are you glad to be there? In the breath of the seasons, in the freshest of air? Mmmm! Are you glad to be there? CHORUS But you always loved spring It came round 2003 - one flower down. But you always loved spring It came round 2003 - one flower down. And what of winter, are you above all that now? No longer the dark nights so weary and dow. Mmmmh! Are you above all that now? The season of sleeping, did you find it cold? Are your tunes all cheery; are you no longer old? Mmmmh! Did you find it cold? CHORUS But you always loved spring It came round 2003 - one flower down. But you always loved spring It came round 2003 - one flower down. Well your last summer evenings, Were they lonely and long? Has all that changed now that you're gone. Mmmm! Were they lonely and long? The conflict of autumn, you never could choose Twixt the richest golden and the deepest of blues. Mmmmh! You never could choose. CHORUS Aye by me Lichtin my shadow. Dancin bricht steps tae oor weel kent tune. Aye by me Watchin by starlicht. Singin oor ain sangs keeps me safe. CHORUS But you always loved spring It came round 2003 - one flower down. But you always loved spring It came round 2003 - one flower down.

Arrogant Man 04:03
ARROGANT MAN (Ian M. Bruce/Charlie Milne) It's a strange thing isn't it? How people get it wrong. How people, they just get it wrong? They see you big and they think your strong, But people they just get it wrong. They say, "He's an offhand arrogant man. Who does he think he is? Over confident man! Who does he think he is? Windows and mirror walls the same, He can't resist on the pass The head turns to check reflections Of his handsome self in the glass. Chorus So, come close, climb inside And just for a moment be me. Reflections through the looking glass See the flaws that I see. So look out, see what we will. To do so we all are free. We must keep an open mind And live our lives reasonably. To see ourselves as others see us- A rude awakening that might be. But for a moment "they" could be "us" They might think different of me. Chorus So, come close, climb inside And just for a moment be me. Reflections through the looking glass See the flaws that I see.

THEN THE RAIN CAME (Ian M. Bruce/Charlie Milne) We had too much to drink. A bit too much was said. We said all the kinda things That lie awake in bed. Anxiety and alcohol messing' up our minds Only morning sun could help us Leave it all behind. CHORUS Then the rain came Teeming from above. Drenching all our dreams. And drowning deepest love. Here with this depression Clouding you and I, It's hard to believe that the sun Will split our sky. The forecast is gloomy. Bitter storms ahead. Pressure's low and mounting In this mighty double bed. Who'd believe we're lovers This is so absurd. Together we lie separate For the sake of one kind word. CHORUS And who will break the silence? Who's it gonna be? It could be either one of us. It's six and two threes When that word is spoken Smiles will surely come: Taming all this turmoil, Anger all undone.

CRAZY COUNTDOWN (Ian M. Bruce/Sandy Stanage) CHORUS Five glass grape, four glass grain. Three hours pleasure, two days pain. One fool never gonna drink again. If I ever hit zero I believe it's gonna be the end.... Of this crazy countdown. I am amazed by it. Some folks unphased by it. Drinkin enough to be dead. I toss and turn with it. My guts can churn with it. Trains crash through my sore head. CHORUS Some folks fight with it. Display their might with it. Stand for the true and untrue. Some hit the mud with it. Some shed their blood with it. Red faces turn black and blue. CHORUS Some couples split with it. Some wives get hit with it. Some husbands treated so bad. Tender hands fist with it. Gentle minds twist with it. Happiness turns to the sad...ness CHORUS Some folks use it right. A quiet drink at night. That's how I use it myself But every now and then Caution's thrown to the wind Workin' my way across the shelf. CHORUS
