Ian Bruce, it seems, was known for his singing of traditional songs with his brother Fraser. That was more because their versions of contemporary songs sounded trad because of their delivery. In fact, this CD came along because Ian had received much praise for his work on LINN Records Complete Songs of Robert Burns. Another dabbling was his Annie Laurie e.p.
Dr. Fred Freeman was asked to select the songs as well as produce the album. A fine job was done according to the many wonderful reviews it received.
A fully traditional album. Songs mainly from the north east of Scotland.
